Who we are

The CETP is chaired by the Government of the United Kingdom.

The Clean Energy Transition Partnership (CETP) is an international partnership of governments, their official export credit agencies, public finance institutions, and multilateral development banks who are committed to transition international public support from the unabated fossil fuel energy sector to the clean energy transition.

The CETP recognises that each country’s circumstances are different, including their pathway to net zero and contribution to meeting the goals of the Paris Agreement.

The CETP is supported by both developed and developing countries, and there is a global solidarity behind this inclusive agenda. Our members are committed to driving greater collaboration across both donor and recipient countries on how to increase investment into clean energy projects, including through technical and regulatory assistance. Recipient countries understand their geographical contexts best and can drive investment into the right places and are an integral part of the CETP.
